Music performance has also been an important part of his life. Starting with his involvement with the Notre Dame Glee Club and then the Omaha Symphonic Chorus, under the direction of future Mormon Tabernacle Choir Director, Craig Jessup, Clark then founded an a cappella quartet, The Fabulous Fourmeldyhides (www.fabfour2.com). Known as “America’s Doowop Sensation,” the group performed with many of the bands of the “oldies’ era including
…Gary Lewis & the Playboys, The Turtles, the Grass Roots, Frankie Avalon, The Diamonds and the Little River Band, among others. The group performed in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s, and were also featured on national television on the shopping network QVC, where they sold 2500 CD’s in just six minutes. He was also a founding member of France’s Doowop Deluxe a cappella quartet (www.doowopdeluxe.com), which enjoyed much success in the Brittany region of the country.

It all started twenty-five years ago with a fun idea – let’s get together four guys in someone’s basement and sing some 50’s and 60’s rock and roll hits. ..and sing we did: From amphitheatres with thousands to street corners with sometimes only a few, to festivals, and theatres, large and small – we did it all – and all “a cappella.” We were The Fabulous Fourmeldyhides, and within five short years we had toured overseas three times, been on national television with QVC, sung with some great oldie acts like The Turtles, Gary Lewis & the Playboys, Lou Christie, The Little River Band, and performed hundreds of concerts of every kind – from stadiums to theatres to intimate venues, from the pubs of Dublin to being named “Pick of the Day” at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
